My name is Michael.
I stayed at AROH for nearly 2 years, and I am excited to share how I have been blessed by this ministry. Before arriving at the men’s shelter, I had come from a life of addiction and homelessness. I decided I was going to change my behaviors and patterns from the past and use A Ray of Hope to help me become everything that I could while staying here. The ministry and the people around it have walked beside me every step of the way. They encouraged me and held me accountable. A Ray of Hope has taught me how to live a more disciplined life. The most important part of my experience was having the space to think about what I wanted and the time to prepare for it. There is not a time limit on how long it takes a person to put their life back together and this place encourages you to plan and meet goals. I have since moved out and have purchased a trailer to live in.
I want to thank the people that donate their time and their resources to help serve this wonderful place.
